DSLR Vs Mirrorless.
I have been curious about the differences in DSLR vs Mirrorless cameras. I wanted to compare and contrast the pros and cons of the two.
Pros of a DSLR:
Better in low light.
Autofocus on fast moving objects.
More lens options.
Some have better battery life.
Cons of a DSLR:
Larger camera bodies. (needs to fit a mirror and the prism
Means heavier packed weight.
Don't shoot as good of video.
Pros of a Mirrorless:
With a mirrorless camera, you get a preview of the image on-screen. Some mirrorless cameras offer an electronic viewfinder (EVF) that simulates the optical viewfinder.
Weight is substantially less.
When shooting outside in good light, your preview on the screen or EVF of a mirrorless camera will look close to the final image.
Faster shutter speeds on higher end cameras.
Better image stabilization.
Cons of a Mirrorless
In some situations where the camera is struggling (such as in low light or with fast-moving subjects), the preview will suffer, becoming dull, grainy and jerky.
Battery life.
Start up lag.
Lack of lenses and budget for them.
